Oh wow, this is something, this guy is really prolific. Just go and check his other stuff is just a wealth of songs in a rather small period of time. And while he has some tracks that are of my taste and some aren’t, this one definitely went off the mark, amazing!
More unsual tunes here on sonorobit, part of the intention is to bring to you those hidden artists that share their works for free, just because the path of their creativity is directed towards music. Art heals, some say, and I agree. To create is to build, and when it comes from the heart is truly marvelous. Along with some bird effects here is mocking the bird from vostek, a guy who I dont know at all, but I know him through his creations. And that is just enough to know him a little bit more. Hooray for the great network that connects us to just everyone everywhere. This conduit is amazing.
Oh I love it when strings are merged with IDM. This piece is what Sam from the UK did with this, orchestral IDM is always a breath of fresh air when done properly and I believe this is the case. It also comes with a story about Timmy, here is a little excerpt from it:
“[0:00]Alone in a forest lived a boy named Timmy Pickett. Every day he would watch the birds circle the Sun and long for wings of his own to carry him away from the world. Whenever he asked them why they had wings and he did not, they simply turned and flew away.
[0:57]One day however, after his frustration had consumed him, he called to the essence of the Earth in a desperate plea for help. Expecting a God to reveal to him the answer, Timmy froze as a shady Demon with a slithering tongue and night-black eyes appeared in front of him.
[1:16]The Demon stood calmly yet menacingly before the boy and explained how his wish could become reality. Without waiting to read the letter the demon handed him, Timmy scrawled his name across the bottom before tucking it into his pocket. [1:55]Instantly the demon raised his hands to the Heavens and pulled a dozen balls of fire from the sky which surrounded Timmy in a circle. He panicked as blood pumped rapidly through his veins and the hairs on his back stood on end. The forest danced with fearsome energy as Timmy fell to the floor.
[2:33]Moments later, the boy awoke in the same clearing as before, yet everything was still again. Not everything was back to normal, however, as he could feel a slight tingle in the back of his head. The more he concentrated on it, the more it grew, and it escalated to a full-blown euphoria. [2:52]The world swayed as Timmy attempted to gain balance and he collapsed in the same spot as before. As he rolled to the side the grass felt feathery against his skin, and before long he realised that feathers had grown from his back and formed wings.
[3:12]Timmy focused hard on his new white limbs and within seconds was soaring higher than any of the birds he had been watching just minutes ago. The cool air hugged the boy as he flew, metres above the highest of trees.
[4:09]But within the space of five minutes, the feathers on his back began to shrivel and blacken, and Timmy could no longer find the strength to keep him airborne. [4:28]He plummeted towards the clearing and landed, eyes tightly closed, on the grass.
[4:28]The tingle returned to the back of Timmy’s mind but brought no euphoria. This time, it sickened him, draining his energy as if into the ground below him. [5:07]With the last of his strength, the boy reached for the letter given to him by the Demon. It read:
2 Ephermeral wings for 1 Soul.”
One question thought, why should the little boy look up to a demon to find his freedom? Here is the track:
Sunday post, its second mouse with 22 eyes of patmos, interesting tune. Very out of the ordinary, nice vocals. His other stuff is very energetic and very, very IDMish with a lot of drums going on. I was hesitant at first but after listening to a few tracks I knew this guy had something going on. I love it when that happens.
Just to drop this, its one of those things you just can’t pass by without wanting to share with everyone. Akin uses the Chapman Stick, impressive performance and awesome music.
Here is a little something from one of IDMFs compilations, which are great.
